Former Tottenham Hotspur forward Darren Bent has predicted Manchester United’s position in the Premier League this season after re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
Man United officially confirmed on Friday that they have reached a deal with Juventus to re-sign Ronaldo, a former Red Devils player.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side finished second in the Premier League table last season behind champions Manchester City.
But Bent believes Man United will finish fourth this season behind Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool despite Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford.
“Ronaldo takes care of him so I don’t think there is a decline in terms of the ultimate pro,” Bent told talkSPORT.
“He will score the goals, I’m still not one of Manchester United’s favorites [to win the Premier League title]. I continue to put Liverpool in the lead with Chelsea and Manchester City.
“I think Manchester United will be fourth, I still have three teams ahead of them.”
Meanwhile, Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 games in his first stint at Man United before leaving the club in 2009 for Real Madrid.
