Francis Uzoho’s contract with Apoel FC has ended.
The Cypriot first division club have confirmed that the two sides have separated by mutual agreement.
The Super Eagles goaltender will now continue his career elsewhere, although he has two years left on his current contract.
After completing his loan spell at AC Omonia, the 22-year-old joined Legend in July 2020 on a three-year contract for an undisclosed amount.
During the 2020/2021 campaign, Uzoho took part in 18 league matches, with Sofronis Avgousti’s men finishing third in the record.
No reason was given for the termination of Uzoho’s contract.
“The public limited company Apoel Football announces the end of its cooperation with goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.
“We wish Francis good luck,” read the club’s website.
Uzoho is currently part of the Nigerian national team, ahead of his 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.
