Tekashi 69 was born on 8 May 1996, in New York. His father was Puerto Rican, and his mother is Mexican. Tekashi 69 was raised in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. His biological father left when he was in 3rd grade. He has an older brother named Oscar Osiris Hernandez. Later, in 2010, his stepfather was shot and killed outside of his home.
