Tokyo Paralympics: Bose Omolayo wins Nigeria’s second gold medal

Bose Omolayo won Nigeria’s second gold medal in weightlifting at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Omotayo took first place in the women’s 79 kg category.

He also set a new world record after lifting 141 kg.

Omotayo finished ahead of Nataliia Oliinyk and Russian Vera Muratova, who took silver and bronze respectively.

Latifat Tijani won Nigeria’s first gold medal at the ongoing event in Tokyo.

It’s just like Olaitan Ibrahim and Lucy Ejike each won bronze on Saturday.

From Matchday 7, Nigeria ranks 24th in the medal table with two gold and two bronze.
