Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé will seal a free transfer to Real Madrid next summer, after the Spanish club have failed with a final attempt this year.
Mbappé has only one year left on his current contract with PSG.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Madrid as he failed to agree on new terms.
The La Liga giants submitted an initial offer of £ 137million, which was quickly rejected.
The Whites then increased their offer to £ 145million plus £ 9million in add-ons, but PSG turned it down as well.
On the transfer deadline, Madrid tried again with a final offer of £ 189million and heard nothing from Ligue 1.
Los Blancos will now decide to shut down Mbappé’s transfer next summer for absolutely nothing, after agreeing pre-contractual terms with the World Cup winner in January, Sky Sports reports.
