Leeds United have announced the capture of Manchester United winger Daniel James.
The 23-year-old closed a £ 25million deal from Old Trafford to Leeds on Tuesday.
He underwent a medical exam on Tuesday before joining the rest of the Wales squad at their training camp in Finland ahead of the World Cup qualifying matches.
The Welsh winger has put his pen to a five-year contract in West Yorkshire.
“It was a whirlwind for me, a bit crazy moment. But I’m here now, I’m thankful that the club are interested in me, they still believe in me from that moment two and a half years ago, ”James told Sky Sports.
“I’m happy to be here and can’t wait to play in front of these fans.
“There has always been interest since I was about to sign for Swansea.
“I don’t think much has happened in the last two days, it happened very quickly, I understood that and this is where I want to move forward.
“I think for me and for my football career it was a completely correct decision,” he continued.
“Don’t get me wrong, I had a great time, made great friends and the staff and fans were great to me.
“For me, this is the time to take my career forward and move forward, so I’m looking forward to it.”
Upon James’ arrival, Leeds director of football Victor Orta said: “First of all, I owe my team a lot – the football department has been watching Daniel for several years and all of my team have worked hard to achieve it. ”this case down the line.
“It’s no secret that Daniel is a player that we have wanted to acquire for several years and today we have achieved our goal.
